Fayemi’s commissioners back Opeyemi?

Politics, they say, is not about permanent friends or foes but about interests. Mr Michael Opeymi Bamidele, who is contesting on the platform of the Labour Party, recently boasted to those who cared to listen that some aides of Governor Kayode Fayemi are supporting him (Bamidele). The former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy had boasted to the crowd that the commissioners and special advisers, among others, are not only supporting him, but “are also doing so financially”. When his campaign train birthed at Ido Osi local government area of the state, he said that the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) members “backing him” was based on their belief in his “cause”. Only time will tell whether it is factual or not.
